What we collect
We collect personal data when you:
- Submit an enquiry, book a consultation, or request a quote through our contact forms (name, email, company name, phone number, and details of your enquiry)
- Download a free guide or checklist (name, email, company name, phone number, and number of employees, where provided)
- Purchase a template pack or policy through our shop (name, email, billing address, and payment details, processed securely by our payment provider)
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Respond to your enquiry or request
- Deliver the guide, checklist, or template pack you’ve requested or purchased
- Process payments for purchases
- Contact you about HR support that may be relevant to you, where you have consented to this
- Meet our own legal, accounting and tax obligations
Legal basis
We process your data on the basis of your consent (for marketing follow-up), the performance of a contract (for purchases), and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have made to us.
Who we share it with
We may share your data with:
- Payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal) to process purchases
- Email and website hosting providers, solely to operate the site and send communications
- HMRC or our accountant, where required for tax purposes
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry and download data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and follow up, and no longer than 24 months without further contact. Purchase records are kept for 6 years to meet UK tax record-keeping requirements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, where there is no legal reason for us to keep it
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request your data in a portable format
